Your cat’s health

Your cat’s health and comfort during their time with us is of the utmost importance and because of this we take all necessary precautions to ensure your cat remains healthy and happy during their stay.  At Top Cat Cattery we have comprehensive welfare policy to ensure that we take every precaution to safeguard the health of all the cats boarded.

Our welfare policy includes monitoring each cat daily and maintaining records on their progress whilst in our care. Should it be necessary, veterinary attendance is assured, our local vet is on call 24 hours a day and our insurance policy covers up to £300 of treatment. For further information on our vet please use the following link to access their website: www.gpvets.com

If any of our guests have pre-existing medical conditions, we are happy to administer any medication required whether it be oral, creams or by injection. Unfortunately however, we are unable to board any cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or contagious disease. All cats will be examined on arrival, but we do reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill-health pending advice from a Veterinary Surgeon

All guests are required to have certificates of 'in date' inoculations for Feline Infectious Enteritis (feline panleukopenia virus) and feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus (cat flu).

Courses of vaccinations and boosters should be completed at least two weeks prior to boarding.
